Over the last few years DIMSI has undertaken a plan of acquisitions and investments linked to the renovation of hotels. It allowed the achievement of significant economic results and the consolidation of the various activities, projecting the holding increasingly as a leader in the Sicilian market.
A recent project, started in 2023, concerns the construction of a retreat hotel in Acireale (CT), which will come to life in the spaces occupied by the former Aloha D'oro hotel, located in the oriented nature reserve “La Timpa”, in the Pietra Monaca district. The project is in line with the aims of the reserve, namely the conservation of the Mediterranean scrub and the landscape values of the area, as well as its lava flows and traditional crops.
In 2023, a new project came to life involving the redevelopment of the building located in Via Mulino S. Lucia, an important coastal road that runs along the commercial area of the port of Catania. The goal is to transform the building into a hotel with over 160 rooms, with finishes, services and typology suitable for a 4-star classification, also including the creation of an area intended for parking.
The aim of Dimsi has always been to add value to its resources, with a view to upgrading existing tourist sites through the construction or renovation of some hotel facilities.
