In February 2010, the construction project for a new concept building was launched, affiliated with the prestigious international Accorhotels network
The project consists of a hotel located in Acireale, in the province of Catania, via Madonna delle Grazie n 98 a/b, along the portion of land adjacent to the S.114, near a bridge in the Catania-Messina direction, up to the entrance intersection of the municipality of Acireale.
The ibis Styles Catania Acireale was designed as two separate buildings.
The first body is located in the portion of land near the entrance, to contain the check in / check out service and reception, breakfast room, as well as service office and shared toilets. On the ground floor there are also 12 rooms with attached bathrooms. On the first floor 18 rooms with attached bathrooms have been created and a special ramp has been prepared for the difference in level present.
The second building is located in the most tree-lined part of the land and is accessed via an internal driveway. It is a building with one elevation above ground, in which 28 rooms have been created, all the same and opposite in the central part, forming a rather compact and homogeneous structure, and two head elements, each with four rooms, for a total of 8 more, larger. The rooms, 36 in total, are all equipped with bathrooms and all have direct access from the outside by car.
Overall, the complex has 66 rooms, including 4 for disabled people. Accessibility is guaranteed by a series of internal paths connected to each other, even for people with reduced or impeded motor or sensory capacity. A parking area is available on a par with the pedestrian areas, equipped with spaces reserved for cars and spaces reserved for disabled people. The external paths have a simple and regular layout, are designed on a flat surface and their width guarantees mobility and even the reversal of direction by a person in a wheelchair.
The four-star accommodation facility was created to satisfy a demand coming from the particular vocation of the territory, located in the heart of the “lemon coast”, as well as in response to a growing need for low-cost accommodation facilities.
The hotel was designed to provide a completely innovative accommodation service, aimed at different types of business and non-business customers, with particular attention to segments with an average spending capacity.
The aim is to satisfy a request from business customers, given its particular location close to the inter-provincial connecting road, providing a qualified service to companies operating in the inter-provincial area of Catania and Syracuse, which is about 70 km away, with a good quality-price ratio, also making a meeting room available.
For both business and leisure customers, interested in using the hotel as a base for discovering the main locations of eastern Sicily, the hotel aims to offer technologically advanced services, comfortable and spacious rooms furnished according to modern design criteria and common services with attention to detail (buffet breakfast, parking and WIFI). It offers a bar and cafeteria service, designed to meet the needs of quality and speed of service, available 24 hours a day.
Over the last few years DIMSI has undertaken a plan of acquisitions and investments linked to the renovation of hotels. It allowed the achievement of significant economic results and the consolidation of the various activities, projecting the holding increasingly as a leader in the Sicilian market.
